Event Details
“Drawing From Film” at SF’s Main Library
We’ll be pausing movies to draw striking frames: Playtime on Saturday June 7th, Ganja & Hess on Saturday July 12th, and Blue Velvet on Saturday August 9th. Drawing From Film is a fun way to expand your visual imagination and vocabulary.
Basic drawing materials (pencils, paper, erasers) will be provided. You may bring your own materials, but please no fume-creating paint or paint pens. Watercolor, ink and gouache are fine.
These are self-led events; there will be no instruction or feedback. However, there will be an opportunity at the end of each session to look at others’ drawings and show your own. All levels of drawing experience are welcome.
Due to pauses for drawing, the full films will not be shown.
